AEVEX Aerospace is looking for a strategic and detailed oriented Supply Chain Manager who is responsible for managing the procurement, inventory management, and distribution processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. This role involves analyzing data, forecasting demand, developing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and implementing strategies to improve supply chain performance.

Essential Functions:

· Responsible for leading a supply chain team including staffing, training, coaching, and professional development

· Generates and manages department budget.

· Optimizes department workflow; creates and maintains policies and procedures.

· Maintains required quantity of materials, parts and services to meet production goals.

· Works within custom, low volume, specialty environment.

· Manages physical inventory and provides results annually to the leadership team

· Coordinates and supports needs of stakeholders (programs, operations, engineering, etc.) to provide information and guidance on availability and cost of materials, parts and services.

· Ensures materials and parts storage are in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.

· Focuses on achieving best value for material, parts and services.

· Responsible for suppliers performance, establishing metrics for assessing ability to meet quality and delivery requirements

· Identifies and qualifies new suppliers as needed

· Organizes, directs, and implements cost-reduction activities to ensure maximum flexibility while minimizing inventory.

· Implements processes to manage risk within the supply chain and monitors procurement procedures to comply with government laws (domestic/international), regulations, and company policy, including maintaining Approved Supplier List (ASL)

Qualifications:

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, customers and co-workers.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Thorough understanding of Aerospace industry, aircraft parts and materials requirements and regulatory environment.

· Creative problem solving skills

· Strategic and analytical mind

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Thorough proficiency with ERP configuration and and use.

· Directs and provides expert knowledge in the day-to-day function of the department.

Education / Certifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field

· Lean Six Sigma Certification a plus

Experience:

· 5 years' experience as a manager in a supply chain environment

Physical Requirements:

· Frequently required to sit, and to reach to use computers and other office equipment

· Frequently required to lift up to 15 pounds

· Occasionally experience a high level of noise, adverse weather or temperature conditions

Security Clearance:

· Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
